Herself Health, a chain of primary clinics aimed at women over age 65, will soon add another location to its quickly growing Twin Cities footprint after raising a new round of funding.
The newest clinic — the company's fifth in the market — will open at 2000 Rahncliff Court in Eagan this fall. Herself Health's other locations are in Roseville, Minneapolis' Uptown neighborhood, Crystal and St. Paul's Highland Park neighborhood, which together have more than 100 employees and serve more than 5,000 patients with a provider staff made up of largely nurse practitioners.
The clinics offer basic clinical services from screenings to acute care to laboratory screenings and community support.
The company's leadership is based entirely in Seattle, but it focused on Minnesota for its launch two years ago. CEO Kristen Helton said Minnesota was a natural place to launch the first Herself Health clinic. as there are major health systems in the region with a strong ecosystem of providers, as well as a significant potential to reach a large population of women 65 and over.
"The Twin Cities is a major metro area that still feels like a small town," Helton said. "It’s a place where people care deeply about their communities and their neighbors."
The company recently raised $37 million in a Series B funding round, bringing its total funding to $70 million. Helton said the funds will be used for the expansion of clinical operations.
Helton previously founded digital health company Profusa, which merged with New York-based special acquisitions company NorthView Acquisitions in a deal valued at $416 million. Helton was also director of Amazon Care — a primary health care service for Amazon.com employees — before cofounding Herself Health in 2022.
