Medical Alley, a nonprofit network of more than 800 health care organizations, is stepping in to support startups with the technology and innovation arm of Minnesota's largest health system.

Medical Alley Association's Starts program will provide services to startups participating in the accelerator program for Mayo Clinic Platform, an initiative of Rochester-based Mayo Clinic .

Mayo's 30-week Platform_Accelerate program offers early-stage, AI-focused companies with an immersive experience in the industry. Medical Alley Starts is a venture platform that accelerates the formation and growth of healthcare startups.

Some of the ways Medical Alley will participate in this partnership include accessing its global network of innovative startups to make referrals to the Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate program and provide comprehensive and continued support to graduates of the program.

"Healthtech innovators are bringing forward ideas that can improve care for us all. This collaboration will help some of the most promising startups get market ready, with the guidance of world-class clinical and research leaders,” said Eric Harnisch, vice president of partner programs for Mayo Clinic Platform.
