Feminine-focused co-working franchise The Coven is hosting a series of entrepreneurial workshops this year that will be free for Hennepin County entrepreneurs.

The workshops (designed for businesses of all stages to dive into topics such as franchising, utilizing technology and finding funding) are taught by business advisers from Elevate Hennepin, a local business resource hub that the Coven is partnering with. The workshops are intended to benefit Hennepin County businesses and will be located at the Coven's Eat Street location at 2429 Nicollet Ave..

The first workshop was hosted on Valentine's Day, titled “Platforms and Processes to Elevate Your Business.” This workshop dove into strategies for streamlining business operations. Future workshops include titles such as,“Entrepreneurial Resource Fair,” “Finding Business Funding," and “Is Franchising Right for You?”

Elevate Hennepin was launched during the Covid pandemic by Hennepin County and the Minneapolis Regional Chamber to help businesses navigate the challenges of the pandemic and civil unrest. It has since grown to focus on helping diverse and underserved Hennepin County businesses at every level build success through educational content and access to business advisors. Anyone who currently owns or is in the process of starting a business in Hennepin County is eligible to join. Aspiring entrepreneurs need a home address in Hennepin County to be eligible to participate in Elevate Hennepin programs.

With the new partnership, the Coven is offering three years of free digital memberships to Hennepin County entrepreneurs. The membership will not only grant free registration to the workshops, but access to the Coven’s digital community with on-demand courses, virtual events and its member directory.
