The Medical Alley Association, a nonprofit network of over 800 healthcare organizations including Boston Scientific and UnitedHealth Group, has brought in executives from Fairview Health Services, Medtronic, Mayo Clinic and GE Healthcare as new leaders on its board.

James Hereford, president and CEO of Fairview Health Services, will now also serve as board chair of the Golden Valley-based organization. He along with three other executives, Scott Cundy, Heidi Dieter and Aaron Hudy, have joined Medical Alley’s board of directors as of Tuesday’s announcement.

At Fairview, Hereford oversees 10 hospitals and medical centers and more than 34,000 employees. He is replacing Jodi Hubler, who completed her term as board chair last year, Medical Alley said.

“It’s a privilege to lead alongside such a dynamic team at a time when our mission — to activate and amplify healthcare transformation — is more vital than ever,” said Hereford in the news release.

Scott Cundy currently serves as senior vice president and chief quality officer at Medtronic. The news release also noted that Cundy is a member of Medtronic's executive committee.

Heidi Dieter is the chief research administrator for Mayo Clinic. In her 17 years at Mayo, she has held several leadership roles within research and clinical practice.

Cundy and Dieter are succeeding Sheri Dodd and Jim Rogers respectively, who completed their board tenures in 2023. Dodd also previously served as board chair from 2019 to 2021, and Rogers did as well from 2021 until 2023, the news release said.

At GE Healthcare, Aaron Hudy serves as president of the United States and Canada West Central Region. Hudy's 25-year career in healthcare also includes senior leadership roles at other organizations such as Siemens Healthcare, Toshiba Medical Systems and Phillips Healthcare.

“Their diverse expertise and visionary leadership are invaluable assets to Medical Alley,” said Medical Alley President and CEO Bobbie Dressen in a statement. “Together, we are poised to further cement Medical Alley’s position as the epicenter of health innovation and care.” Dressen was appointed as president and CEO of Medical Alley in 2021.
