Alltroo, the Minneapolis online sweepstakes fundraising startup co-founded by former Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Wild players, has hired the company's first president.
Brad Spychalski comes to Alltroo with over a decade of executive marketing experience from Google, Pinterest, Target and Omaze. He most recently was the vice president of marketing at Culver City, Calif.-based fundraising company Omaze.
As president, Spychalski is aiming to continue expanding and tightening Alltroo's brand, particularly its entertainment partnerships and expanding marketing and software capabilities.
Spychalski said that he has always been impressed with Alltroo and the sports angle that Alltroo focuses on.
“I couldn’t be more excited to continue building the Alltroo brand and deepening trust and engagement with our customers, while continuing to support a variety of nonprofit organizations and charity partners,” Spychalski said in the news release.
Spychalski has ties to the Twin Cities, graduating from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in journalism and history and working at Target Corp. as creative strategy senior manager.
Alltroo began in July 2021 after former Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph and former Minnesota Wild wing Jason Zucker partnered with businessmen Joel Kunza (Alltroo's chairman) and Jon Walburg (who's considered the CEO of the company) to keep fundraising for charity going during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Alltroo fundraises through prize-based sweepstakes such as meetings with athletes and celebrities, custom cars and travel packages. Since it began, Alltroo has raised over $2 million for charity, the company said.
Rudolph said in the news release that as president, Spychalski “not only has the experience and expertise to guide Alltroo, but he also shares our values of community engagement and giving back.”
