Aryeo Inc., a property technology startup, recently raised nearly $4 million in equity, according to a securities filing.
The company's software centralizes visual content for property listings, such as images, videos and 3D tours, and offers marketing and scheduling tools. Aryeo’s website says its software helps more than 100,000 real estate agents and creators.
The filing states that there were eight investors with a first date of sale Aug. 9. Representatives for Aryeo could not be reached for comment.
Aryeo lists its headquarters in Boston; the Boston Business Journal reported on a previous fundraising round of $3.65 million in 2020. But it has ties to the Twin Cities, too; it lists a St. Paul address on its most recent filing, and three co-founders Branick Weix, Matt Michalski and Brendan Quinlan all attended Saint Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, according to their LinkedIn profiles.
According to the company's website, the idea for the company came as the three were working as real estate photographers in high school, according to the company’s website.
Michalski, who later attended the University of St. Thomas, was mentioned in a 2015 Business Journal report on the university's first-ever real estate business idea competition, where he won second place for his business proposal.
