A year after its initial formation, business accelerator Affluent Culture is opening its first brick-and-mortar location in St. Paul..
The firm offers a variety of services to local small businesses, including social media marketing, registering businesses with the Minnesota Secretary of State's office and other foundational services.
Affluent Culture, which will be located at 1440 Arcade St. in St. Paul, is currently working with its third cohort of businesses and offers both in-person and virtual classes. The company also offers one-on-one lessons.
Founder and CEO Briana Mobley said she's trying to provide more resources to businesses owned by people of color, especially in helping them get required licenses and registrations completed.
“Our community as people of color have not necessarily had the tools and resources that other ethnic groups have had,” said Mobley.
Affluent Culture works to bridge those gaps by contracting various business professionals to teach courses to its cohorts.
Revenue for the firm comes from monthly membership fees, which range from $500 up to $2,000 depending on the size of the business.
Affluent Culture will celebrate the grand opening of its building on Saturday, June 18.
