Co-parenting app OurFamilyWizard announced Wednesday its expanding its influence by acquiring Cozi, a Seattle-based family organizing app.
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
OurFamilyWizard CEO Nick VanWagner said Tuesday the acquisition will allow the company to be in the strongest position to help more families as it doubles down on expanding.
OurFamilyWizard was founded to help divorced parents co-parent through a platform that allows them to communicate and schedule their lives. While Cozi has over 20 million registered users and assists a wider range of families through a suite of tools including meal planning, recipes, household chores and schedule management.
Cozi will still function as a wholly owned subsidiary of OurFamilyWizard as it maintains its strong brand and distinct products, VanWagner said.
Minneapolis-based OurFamilyWizard has doubled its headcount to 98 employees since receiving a growth investment from Boston-based Spectrum Equity two years ago. The deal with Cozi gives OurFamilyWizard an additional 11 employees based in Seattle.
OurFamilyWizard was the winner of the 2022 Minne Inno Madness bracket challenge, a friendly challenge where readers voted to advance companies based on who they would invest in.
