Calabrio, the Minneapolis call center software firm, has named Kristin Gaarder its first chief human resources officer.
In her new role, Gaarder will oversee human resources for Calabrio's team of over 700 workers and lead its efforts to grow its workforce to 1,000. She'll also head the company's efforts in diversity and inclusion, recruitment and employee development, Calabrio said in a Monday press release.
"[Gaarder]’s experience and focus on people-first practices will be an asset to Calabrio as we continue to grow along with this ever-changing industry," Tom Goodmanson, president and CEO of Calabrio, said in the release.
Gaarder has over 20 years of leadership and human resources experiences. Prior to this role, she worked as senior vice president of human resources and corporate services for Milan-based hearing-aid maker Amplifon; vice president of human resources for Brøndby, Denmark-based cleaning equipment supplier Nilfisk High Pressure Washers; and head of human resources for Basel, Switzerland-based Novartis, according to the release and Gaarder's LinkedIn page.
Gaarder will work with Calabrio's leadership team "to create meaningful experiences for employees, develop their talents and continue to deliver to our customers the excellence they expect,” Gaarder said in the release.
Earlier this year, Thoma Bravo, a San Francisco-based private equity firm, acquired Calabrio from New York investment firm KKR for over $1 billion, the Business Journal previously reported. The acquisition has helped set the stage for Calabrio to grow, the company said in the release.
