Inc. magazine released its annual list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. on Tuesday, and it includes 67 Minnesota businesses.
Maple Grove-based strategic business development firm studio503 is the top-ranking Minnesota company on this year's list, coming in at No. 43.
Other top Twin Cities companies that experienced over 1,000% growth are Roseville-based physical security provider YourSix (No. 208) — which was the top-ranking Minnesota business on last year's list at No. 134, Minneapolis-based marketing consultant The Stable (No. 229), Burnsville-based air filtration mask manufacturer RZ Industries (No. 237) and Minneapolis-based software company Carrot Health (No. 311), which was just acquired.
All 67 of Minnesota-based businesses on the latest list account for $1.9 billion in total revenue, with 142% median growth. More than half of them (38) are repeat honorees that have appeared on the list in years prior.
Each year, Inc. determines its annual list based on companies' percentage of revenue growth over the last three years.
