Leadpages announced Tuesday it's relocating its headquarters from Uptown to Minneapolis' North Loop neighborhood.

Beginning July 1, the website=coding company will operate out of the Colonial Warehouse building, located at 212 Third Ave. N.

Leadpages said in a press release the move is a signal that downtown Minneapolis is rebounding.

“As the risks the pandemic presented slowly dissipate in the U.S. and city centers surge back to life, the single-purpose business neighborhood no longer makes sense, however that does not mean the end of downtown,” said CEO Jeanette Dorazio in the news release. “This is an opportunity for the city to come together with the thriving business community in Minneapolis and rethink and rebuild a space that serves people better for both work and life."

Leadpages sells software that businesses use to build landing pages for their websites. Such pages are key to converting website visitors into customers. Examples include Web pages where consumers purchase products or sign up to receive more information from salespeople.

The company's new office is large enough to accommodate its full team when needed, but employees won't be required to work in the office full-time.

“We have always embraced a flexible, hybrid work model, because we recognize that members of our growing team thrive in a variety of situations, ranging from working remote full-time, to heading into the office every workday,” Dorazio said.

This won't be LeadPages' first time in the neighborhood. After launching in co-working space in St. Paul, it operated in offices on First Avenue North before moving to Minneapolis' Uptown neighborhood.

As of last year, Leadpages had raised more than $35 million from investors, including Foundry Group, Drive Capital and Arthur Ventures. The company was acquired by Redbrick, a Canadian software firm based out of Victoria, B.C., in March 2020.
