Beta.MN has announced the Fall 2020 cohort for its accelerator program.
The cohort is made up of 14 startups and will be part of Beta's second all-virtual accelerator. The program runs from Sept. 9 to Feb. 5; the cohort will also present at the Beta showcase on Sept. 16.
There are currently 164 startups that have passed through the Beta accelerator. Between them, those companies have raised $358 million and employ 1,204 people.
The startups are:
- Bibliate: A Minnetonka-based online research platform that summarizes academic papers to make them more accessible. Bibliate is founded by Andrew Swisher.
- Corqueboard: A West St. Paul-based digital replacement for a corkboard, advertisements and notices appear on Corqueboard surfaces in local businesses. Coqueboard is founded by Mike Todaro.
- Enlight: A Fargo, N.D.-based SaaS platform that helps teachers connect with students and create a better learning environment. Enlight is founded by Dieumerci Christel.
- Forever Ware: Forever Ware replaces single-use packaging at grocery stores and restaurants with alternatives that they later return. Forever Ware is founded by Natasha Gaffer.
- Hear it Up: Hear it Up makes custom-fitted hearing aids that can be ordered online or at kiosks at pharmacies. Hudson, Wis.-based Hear it Up is founded by Bridget Burnham.
- JockLab: A sports science company that makes a defense-playing robot for basketball training. JockLab is founded by Alijah Nelson.
- Neiibor Crate: A grocery delivery service that cuts out middlemen by taking food straight from farmers or producers to consumers. Neiibor Crate is founded by Kong Yang.
- Culture Booster: Culture Booster is a web-based platform for employee engagement like feedback surveys and goal-setting. St. Paul-based Culture Booster is founded by Stephen Moore.
- ProsperStack: A Minneapolis-based software company that makes a process for customers who are cancelling a subscription. ProsperStack is founded by Tony Sternberg.
- Recreogo: Recreogo is a platform for booking outdoor equipment from retailers. Recreogo is founded by David Rochol.
- See A Star: A sports marketing platform that enables users to meet athletes. See A Star is founded by Mary Tucker.
- Sparrow Marketing: Sparrow Marketing is a social-media-insights tool for marketing firms and freelancers. Sparrow Marketing is founded by Braden Ericson.
- WellRoo: WellRoo creates a web program designed to help the parents of children with ADHD. WellRoo is founded by Steph Peters.
- Your Next Place: A St. Cloud-based marketing company that helps connects tenants and landlords. Your Next Place is founded by Brendan Mooney.
