Last night at ONE Fermentary and Taproom in the North Loop, around 80 founders, techies, community leaders and other interested business professionals gathered for Minne Inno's inaugural Startups to Watch event.
Thursday's event featured eight companies that were showcased on our list of 20 Minnesota Startups to Watch in 2020, which took a look at companies that are tackling challenging issues with innovative solutions – and who could see solid traction in the year to come.
The night began with four startup pitches from leaders at Bus Stop Mamas, SayKid, Creatively Focused and Chanl Health.
Following the startup pitches, Minne Inno hosted a panel that included Jesse Mortenson, CTO at Civic Eagle; Teague Orgeman, co-founder and CEO of Starting 11; Michelle Tran Maryns, founder and CEO at We Sparkle; and Eli Krumholz, director of software development at Abilitech Medical.
The panel discussion touched on the challenging industries each company is tackling, the growth they've seen to date, and where their businesses are headed.
