The month's largest raise belongs to Rochester-based Vyriad, which closed on $24.4 million in a planned $37.8 million round.

Dog Threads
- Dog Threads offers flannels, sweaters and even Hawaiian shirts for its fashionable dog-loving fan base. In a recent "Shark Tank" appearance, Mark Cuban agreed to invest $250,000 in Dog Threads in exchange for a 25% stake in the company.
Starting 11
- Starting 11, a Minneapolis-based sports-tech startup offering a fantasy soccer platform, received a $5 million investment from Brand Capital, the investment arm of one of India’s largest media conglomerates.
Hidrate Spark
- Hidrate Inc., a startup that makes "smart" water bottles, has raised $2.2 million in a planned $3.5 million round of funding, the Biz Journal reports. The company plans to raise a Series A round of funding next year.
ExceleraRx
- A Twin Cities company creating a network of health systems to gain access to expensive specialty drugs has raised $2 million in a planned $6 million round. Excelera also raised $5.1 million last year, the Biz Journal said.
Vyriad
- Rochester-based Vyriad, a company creating cancer-killing viruses, raised $24.4 million as part of a planned $37.8 million Series B financing round.
