ZapInfo, a company creating productivity tools for human resources and sales professionals, has closed on $1.75 million to continue growing its recruiter platform.
The Randstad Innovation Fund joined existing backers Rally Ventures, Great North Labs and Seven Peaks Ventures in ZapInfo's new round of funding. As part of the deal, Randstad's Ilonka Jankovich will join ZapInfo's board.
Founded about three years ago, ZapInfo aims to improve productivity for recruiters and salespeople by making it easier for them to juggle the growing number of applications they have to deal with. The company offers an extension for Google Chrome users that allows them to copy information from websites and apply it to software applications.
For example, a recruiter could take details from a prospective candidate's LinkedIn profile and easily drop that info into an online form or application. Users can also quickly import data into Excel files or texts.
ZapInfo said in a release that it recently solidified partnerships with platforms like IBM, SAP, Jibe, Jobvite and others. Some of its clients include Best Buy, Lowe's, Home Depot, Ascension Health and Comcast.
Local serial tech entrepreneur Doug Berg co-founded ZapInfo and took over as the company's full-time CEO in August 2018. Two months prior, Berg sold his previous company, MyAlerts, to a private equity firm.
ZapInfo has now raised more than $3 million to date. The company previously closed on a $1.25 million round of seed funding in August 2018 from Minneapolis-based Rally Ventures, St. Cloud-based Great North Labs and Bend, Ore.-based Seven Peaks Ventures.
