2/1: West Chester, Ohio-based E-Technologies Group, a provider of software and automation systems integration and engineering design services, received a strategic investment from Charlotte-based Falfurrias Capital Partners. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
2/1: Lansing, Michigan-based Liquid Web, a provider of managed dedicated server hosting services, acquired Oklahoma City-based iThemes, a maker of WordPress plugins. www.liquidweb.com
2/3: Detroit-based private equity firm Huron Capital added Scott Hauncher as a partner. Hauncher was formerly a partner with Superior Capital.
2/7: Carmel, Indiana-based Bolstra, a customer success platform, raised a $1.5 million seed round from Allos Ventures, 4G Ventures, and Collina Ventures.
2/8: Detroit-based Autobooks, a provider of integrated invoicing, payment and accounting software for online banking platforms, raised a $10 million round of funding from Draper Triangle, Baird Capital, Detroit Venture Partners, Invest Michigan and CU Solutions Group.
2/12: Minneapolis-based Bold Orange, a human connections company that works to modernize loyalty, raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Denver-based private equity firm Mountaingate Capital. Also in February, Bold Orange announced that it acquired Great Lakes Scrip Center, the largest gift card fundraising company in the country.
2/14: High Alpha, a leading venture studio, announced that Robin Fleming joined the company as entrepreneur in residence. Fleming is an enterprise cloud technology veteran with more than 30 years of experience, most recently serving as senior vice president of technology at Angie’s List.
2/14: St. Louis-based Varsity Tutors, a live learning platform that connects students with personalized instruction, raised a $50 million Series C from Learn Capital, with participation from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and return backer TCV.
2/15: Cincinnati-based Losant, an enterprise Internet of Things platform, raised a $5.2 million Series A from CincyTech, with participation from Revolution's Rise of the Rest Fund, TechNexus, and Vine Street Ventures.
2/22: Chicago-based FourKites, a predictive supply chain platform, raised a $35 million Series B from August Capital, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures and Hyde Park Venture Partners.
2/22: Detroit-based Splitting Fares, a carpooling platform that allows individuals to see their matches prior to accepting the rides and communicate in-app, was acquired by Bosch. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
2/26: Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based HelpSystems, a provider of IT infrastructure software, sold a controlling stake to middle-market private equity firm based in Palo Alto, California. .
2/26: Chicago-based AddStructure, a provider of search and discovery applications for e-commerce companies, was acquired by global investment firm Marlin Equity Partners. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
2/27: Ann Arbor-based May Mobility, an autonomous vehicle company that's aiming to replace existing transportation systems with its fleets of self-driving micro-shuttles, raised $11.5 million in seed funding from BMW iVentures, Toyota AI Ventures, Maven Ventures, SV Angel, Tandem Ventures, Trucks Ventures and YCombinator.
2/27: Ann Arbor-based PawnGuru, an online marketplace connecting pawn shops and consumers, raised a $2.5 million Series A from the Impact America Fund and Invest Detroit Ventures.
2/28: Leawood, Kansas-based venture capital firm Leawood Venture Capital raised $25 million for its new fund, according to an SEC filing.
