It appears 2022 brought a leadership change for Sneez, the Winston-Salem startup that created a real-time illness tracking app that was among TBJ’s inaugural Startups to Watch.
Former CEO and co-founder Dr. Bill Satterwhite left Sneez in May 2022, according to LinkedIn, and joined Huron Consulting Group, based in Davidson, as a principal and expert.
“Bill joined Huron from Sneez LLC, a technology startup focused on improving worker health, where he was a co-founder, a board member and an interim CEO,” reads Satterwhite’s profile on Huron’s website.
It is unclear if a new CEO has been named. Sneez’s website has been down for several, citing that it was temporarily offline due to technical issues, and was still offline as of Friday morning. Filings with the SEC show that the company's last fundraise was in April 2021 for $175,000.
Satterwhite did not respond to inquiries through LinkedIn and Huron. Mike Shemanick, who is listed as Sneez’s current COO and CTO on LinkedIn, did not immediately return a request for comment.
