Across the nation, including in Tampa Bay, entrepreneurs will be celebrated during Global Entrepreneurship Week kicking off Nov. 16.

"Entrepreneurs are essential to the growth of an ecosystem, especially in the current economic environment," said Lauren Prager, VP of Community Engagement at Synapse Florida. "More and more people are using this time, either by necessity or inspiration, to build new businesses. We wanted there to be a celebration and recognition for entrepreneurs and the best way to put Florida on an international stage is to align it with GEW."

Tampa Bay has participated in the week for the last few years, largely led by Embarc Collective's platform director Allie Felix.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is celebrated in 170 cities and events will be taking place throughout Florida through the entire week. All the events can be found on Synapse Converge's website under GEW Events.

Synapse Converge will be kicking off Monday, providing a "leadership track" to talk about the tools and resources needed to grow and scale a startup. There will also be a "startup tool kit" headed by university faculty across the state, highlighting the resources higher education facilities have to grow startups.

The Florida-Israel Business Accelerator will also be holding a four-day summit. It will dive into the agriculture industry, both in Florida and Israel and discuss the potential for the two entities to work together.
