Two companies are joining forces to transform the furniture shopping experience in the Tampa Bay region.

City Furniture, a prominent player in the furniture retail industry and a top 20 U.S. retailer headquartered in Tamarac, is expanding here and has partnered with St. Petersburg technology company 3D Cloud to provide product visualization for the retailer. 3D Cloud closed a $7.5 million Series B funding round in 2023.

“3D Cloud are experts at understanding the customer’s journey and have developed best in class technology to help address customer’s pain points,” CEO of City Furniture Andrew Koenig said in the release. “This partnership allows us to create a unique experience that not only attracts our customers but also guides them in making confident purchasing decisions, setting a new industry standard.”

No financial details were disclosed.

Over the next six to eight months, City will utilize 3D Cloud’s visualization tools for furniture by allowing customers to see how furniture pieces fit in their spaces, according to the release. City will integrate the full suite of 3D Cloud tools, including 3D Cloud 360 Spins and 3D Cloud WebAR.

“At 3D Cloud, we are inspired by City Furniture’s journey. City was founded by two brothers with a shared vision and grounded in service, much like our own company,” said CEO and co-founder of 3D Cloud Beck Besecker in the release. “We understand the importance of building on and preserving a family legacy while always looking toward the future and what’s next. This partnership embodies our mutual commitment to innovation and excellence.”

City joins other furniture retailers like Herman Miller, Ashley, Joybird and Raymour & Flanigan using 3D Cloud to personalize and create a design experience for customers.
