Tampa startup Canviiy reached more than 600 Walgreens stores nationwide after a February roll-out.

The company's in-store presence totaled more than 6,000 stores after the expansion, and the nationwide roll-out continued a growth trajectory for the company, founder and CEO Sherrel Sampson said.

"It shows we are truly tapping into white space in the market, and it affirms the strategy we're putting forward to provide an affordable, effective solution is truly paying off," Sampson said.

Canviiy sells a slew of chemical-free products for scalp care. Sampson founded the company in 2014, after suffering from an itchy scalp. In the following years, her business expanded to work with Moffitt Cancer Center and sell in stores like Target, Walmart, CVS and JCPenney.

The company has taken no institutional capital and has matured solely from revenue and one angel investment, Sampson said.

Over time, the company has earned seven figures of total lifetime revenue with year-over-year growth. The company became profitable in 2021 but made investments that disrupted its gains. Canviiy plans to return to profitability by 2025, Sampson said.

The growth is significant for Sampson. It attests to her vision and hard work, she said.

"The evolution of the brand, it has been beautiful to watch because I could have never imagined the trajectory in which it has evolved," Sampson said.
