Here are the startups pitching at St. Pete's next event

Fourteen companies will participate in the VC Fast Pitch Event.

It’s not about meaningless explanations at the VC Fast Pitch Event. Companies will be pitching to accredited investors and venture capitalists, said the CEO of Black Dog Venture Partners, Scott Kelly

Black Dog Venture Partners, a St. Petersburg business accelerator, will host the ticketed event at Coastal Creative in St. Petersburg on Sept 21. The event will see 20 investors and speakers, including Brian MacMahon, the CEO of California-based Expert Dojo, the seventh most active VC firm in America, according to a release. 

Attendees of VC Fast Pitch can also attend the after-party, called “The Inclusive Exclusive." Additional details on “The INEX” can be found online.

The previous iteration saw $1 million raised by Lakeland-based Hook Security, an appearance by Cathie Wood, the CEO of Ark Invest, and several local startups raising capital. 

Here are the companies that will be pitching:

Simple Solvents

Based: St. Petersburg

What they do: Simple Solvents sells wholesale chemicals. Its liquid solvents, various grades of ethanol, are used for a variety of purposes, including for extracting ingredients like oils from plants.


ProspectIQ

Based: St. Petersburg

What they do: Prospect IQ sells a handful of AI-powered operations that help drive website traffic engagement, as well as digitally facilitate other sales and marketing tasks.


Eyedaptic

Based: California

What they do: Eyedaptic creates a glasses-like product for people with age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy or other low-vision diseases, according to its website. It has three different tech glasses models that simulate natural vision. 


Zen Sports

Based: Miami-based, licensed in Tennessee, according to LinkedIn

What they do: Zen Sports is a “mobile sports betting platform for consumers that offers a traditional sports book, peer-to-peer sports betting marketplace, and wagering in both fiat and cryptocurrencies,” according to its website.  


Instantly Relevant

Based: Atlanta

What they do: Instantly Relevant is a digital marketing company that uses a “proprietary LinkedIn Lead Revenue System” to promote accounts. 


Bronze Legion

Based: Fort Myers

What they do: Bronze Legion is a video game studio that aims to make three enterprise video games. The games range from playing as a small alien to a World War 2 fighting game. 


Medwatch Technologies

Based: Delaware, based out of Las Vegas

What they do: Medwatch is a health monitoring technology and software-as-a-service company. Its devices deal with monitoring glucose levels. Kelly said they raised money at the previous VC Fast Pitch event.


Node 40

Based: Albany, New York

What they do: Node 40 is a data and financial accounting company. Its platform records a transactional trail for digital currency. St. Petersburg fintech investor Gary Cardone led a $12 million funding round for Node40 through his fund, Card1Ventures, in August.


Noted Media Group

Based: Tampa

What they do: Noted Media is a digital platform that is looking to connect content creators — like photographers, videographers and editors — with people to buy their content. 


ShopRaise

Based: Littleton, Colorado

What they do: ShopRaise connects organizations seeking to raise money with people who need grocery shopping. Students or clubs can grocery shop for charity through the ShopRaise app. 


US Precision Medicine

Based: University of Florida

What they do: US Precision Medicine is a research and development company that focuses on disease and cancer treatments through its strategic approach.


Sina.com

Based: China

What they do: Sina.com is a Chinese online education company. A translator will be present to provide more context about their product and interact with the startup.


Life Pack Organics

Based: California

What they do: Life Pack Organics is a health and wellness company that sells hemp extract powder. The powder is meant to be dissolved into a drink for various effects.


Parasol Labs

Based: Kissimmee

What they do: Parasol is a biotech startup seeking to create medical and consumer equipment. Its founders met and decided to create the company after realizing shared backgrounds in managing chronic illnesses.
