Black Dog Venture Partners has announced that VC Fast Pitch will return to St. Petersburg on Sept 21.

The event will feature investors and speakers, including Brian MacMahon, CEO of venture capital firm Expert Dojo, and patent attorney Derek Fahey of The Plus IP Law Firm.

The previous VC Fast Pitch in St. Petersburg resulted in money raised for local startups, including $1 million raised by Lakeland-based Hook Security and a special guest appearance by Cathie Wood, CEO of Ark Invest.

"This event provides an opportunity for local entrepreneurs and the startup community to network and pitch to local investors and investors from around the region and country. This a real opportunity for businesses to secure funding," VC Fast Pitch founder Scott Kelly told Tampa Bay Inno.

Attendees of VC Fast Pitch will have an opportunity to attend "The Inclusive Exclusive," a high-end entertainment and networking opportunity immediately following the event.

"I am thrilled to bring VC Fast Pitch back to St. Petersburg, a city rich in talented entrepreneurs building future unicorns. We are looking forward to providing these dynamic companies the opportunity to connect with investors from around the state and the country," said Kelly.

The event will occur at Coastal Creative at 2201 1st Ave S.

Black Dog Venture Partners is a business accelerator that provides access to funding through its network of investors, and business development through business partners, according to the release.
