As the Tampa Bay Innovation Center continues to make strides with one of the most revered tech figures in the country, it's also doing what it's always done: help startups.
The St. Petersburg-based innovation center announced its spring 2022 cohort, which includes five local startups and one Israeli company to its growing roster.
The accelerator received a record-breaking number of applications, according to Ken Evans, managing director of the accelerator program.
"There were many good companies and ideas, but we focus our effort on the companies that we can assist most through the program and our mentor network," Evans said.
The program spans 12 weeks, centered on business to business-focused companies. It helps the companies flesh out their product and go-to-market strategy, as well as helps founders with their leadership and marketing skills.
