Here are the local companies pitching at the major startup conference coming to Tampa

Tampa will be showcased in a big way in the coming week.

It is already being put on the map thanks to the Startup of the Year conference hosting its annual three-day national conference here. But the area will also be represented by more than 20% of the roughly 80 companies tapped to pitch in front of dozens of investors.

  • Cope Notes, a Tampa-based mental health-focused startup that sends users inspiring and motivating daily texts. Get their story.

  • Iteright, a Tampa-based startup that validates product managers' ideas before they are built.
  • MARVL, a Tampa-based edtech-focused startup that helps dual-language students learn English through augmented reality elements. Get their story.
