A company that specializes in e-commerce advertising has chosen St. Petersburg as the site of its U.S. headquarters and plans to hire dozens more employees in the coming months.
CitrusAd, which is owned by Paris-based Publicis Groupe, said Monday that the Sunshine City will serve as its U.S. headquarters. Its current address is inside Thrive, a coworking facility in downtown St. Pete. The company's St. Pete head count is around 50, and the St. Petersburg Economic Development Corp. says it will nearly double that number in 12 to 18 months.
The new jobs will fill sales, client support, advertising campaign operations, analytics, design, engineering, development and technical account management roles.
The company uses shoppers' first-party data to created targeted e-commerce advertising.
“The St. Pete area is ripe with talented people who have the creative and data analytics skills we need," David Haase, chief development and revenue officer at CitrusAd, said in a statement.
CitrusAd is the latest company to establish its headquarters in St. Pete. Earlier this year, fintech startup CrossBorder Solutions said it would move its headquarters from New York to St. Pete, and Dynasty Financial moved its headquarters there in 2019.
“The selection of St. Petersburg as headquarters for this leading-edge marketing technology business reflects our community’s growth as a hub for Tampa Bay tech and creative companies and workers," J.P. DuBuque, president and CEO of the St. Pete EDC, said in a statement.
