The annual Inc. 5000 list detailing the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. has been released, and Tampa Bay companies are holding strong.
The list, released Tuesday morning, breaks down the top 5,000 companies in the nation. Those alone have $14.7 billion in revenue, with more than 24,000 new jobs added and an average of 199% growth.
Clearwater-based Solar Bear, which offers solar power contracting services, was the top-ranked Tampa Bay area company at No. 14 with 19,218% growth. It is a first-time honoree.
Tampa-based PainTEQ, a medical technology company, followed at No. 95, a massive jump from its 2020 spot at No. 650. Tampa-based workout technology company Peerfit rounded out the top three local companies at No. 140.
Overall, Florida’s companies had $14.7 billion in revenue, with an average growth of 199%. There were 182 repeat honorees from last year's list, with 34 of the Florida companies being newly founded.
