After our most-participated-in Tech Madness ever and a whirlwind four weeks, we've whittled down 36 companies to the third annual Tampa Bay Inno Tech Madness champion.
Paragon Cyber Solutions, an underdog at its finest and first-time Tech Madness participant, has claimed a victory against fellow newcomer Ideal Agent.
Throughout each round, the company dominated. It started strong, garnering 72% of the vote against 2020's Tech Madness winner ReliaQuest. There was a slight faltering in round two, with a narrow victory against Tampa-based Edgility with only four votes. It was then a smooth cruise to victory, with an 81% win against Scion Analytics and 78% win against JustProtect.
Paragon Cyber Solutions is a woman, minority and veteran-owned business based in Tampa specializing in cybersecurity — and includes the Florida Department of Education as a client. The bracket's runner-up Ideal Agent is a Tampa-based real estate technology company that connects buyers with top-rated brokers.
As a reminder, Tech Madness is a friendly annual competition designed to shine a spotlight on 32 of Tampa Bay's most interesting and exciting startups. The companies in the bracket were nominated by the community, and readers voted to advance the winner by picking the startups they’d most want to invest in.
We've included the past round recaps and descriptions of all 36 companies here.
