Cybersecurity firm KnowBe4 is now in 10 countries after its latest expansion.

The Clearwater-based company announced Thursday it has opened a new office in the Middle East in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

“Cybersecurity attacks and breaches are increasing across the Middle East,” Stu Sjouwerman, CEO at KnowBe4, said in a statement. “We’re excited to expand our international presence and have a greater impact on users in the Middle East.”

Along with the opening of the office comes the announcement of three new hires, which will be located in the Dubai office. KnowBe4 also has offices in Australia, Singapore, the Netherlands, Germany, South Africa, Brazil, Japan and the United Kingdom.

The latest comes at a time of huge growth for the company. In March, the company announced Chief Financial Officer Krish Venkataraman and Chief Revenue Officer Lars Letonoff would be co-presidents in an effort to continue to support the company's "hypergrowth." March also brought the novel coronavirus to the United States, which spurred local cybersecurity companies to boost hiring to keep up with demand. From March to May, KnowBe4 signed 83 offers and had an additional 116 open positions.

After a slew of acquisitions, the company also created its own research branch. In September, Reuters reported KnowBe4 is reportedly seeking to file an IPO. The company is valued at over $1 billion, after a $300 million investment from private equity firm KKR (NYSE: KKR) occurred in 2019.
