Forget Zoom. This new software allows for simplified collaboration

We've all been there: a project that needs review from multiple people continues to get edits over email, Slack, phone calls and in-person discussions until it gets so muddled you can't keep track.

It's a problem David Capece, founder of digital marketing agency Sparxoo, ran into again and again over his decade in business.

"What we observed is a what was a common obstacle when we run into projects — getting client feedback, client approval and getting caught up in a lot of back and forth," Capece said. "Ultimately, it is a lot of wasted time and frustration in the process."

He decided to launch CROOW, a creative collaboration software primarily for marketing and design businesses — that can also be used by any company with a design aspect.

The program launched this week, on a bit of an accelerated timeline. It was undergoing a beta phase and the team originally planned to evaluate the next steps on April 1.

However, after the majority of employees across the world were forced to now work from home due to coronavirus, Capece wanted to launch, and launch for free.

"What we’re finding is all these teams are on Zoom or video calls and working remotely to put together a marketing or creative campaign or design," he said. "We've been using CROOW to, in real time, get everyone on the same page with the feedback and get it really specific. If you use it as part of the creative process, it removes the need for emailing, wasted meetings. It saves a lot of time and gets everyone on the same page."

Interested users can get a six-month free use of the software, when it usually runs $14-$19 a month. While the initial cost is low, Capece understood every bit counts for businesses during this crisis.

"We saw there are so many businesses that are struggling; every penny matters," he said. "Even though it’s $14 to $19 dollars a month, it all adds up, especially if you have a large team. We wanted to do our part so it's one less expense, especially for companies not planning to go remote. They're already disrupted. This is one less thing they have to worry about."
