A company with a focus on streamlining communication is looking to further streamline its own office with a new headquarters.
SkySwitch, which first started in Lakeland and most recently was renting a few offices in Tampa, has found a permanent home in Westshore.
The company offers a cloud-based Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) platform to telecommunication and business technology resellers across the country.
Executives hope the move will help the company further grow its team in the region, which currently has 16 local employees. It had two local employees in 2018. The company has 79 employees across the globe.
"Instead of doing a coworking space, what we found would be better is our own personal space for privacy, and the team to have collaboration opportunities to grow," Emily Vasquez, communications manager at SkySwitch, said. "Because we're looking specifically to hire in Tampa."
The office has six meeting and "huddle" rooms, each designed to handle real-time collaboration. It's located at 101 South Hoover Blvd. in Tampa.
“SkySwitch is seeing dramatic growth, month after month, with resellers and a range of new suppliers,” SkySwitch president and co-founder Eric Hernaez said in a statement. “With all of that happening, we outgrew our downtown location. We now have the space to grow and add more depth to our staff to increase our market leader approach of being channel-exclusive and channel-supportive.”
