University of South Florida and University of Tampa have both landed on the Princeton Review's top entrepreneurial programs for 2020.
USF's Center for Entrepreneurship ranked in the top three for graduate programs, behind University of Michigan and the University of Virginia. As a whole, the school ranked No. 8 out of 25.
The university was previously in the 12th spot for the 2019 list, which was released in January.
Rice University in Houston took the top spot for the graduate program. USF's president Steve Currall previously taught at Rice University and founded the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, which he directed for five years.
The Princeton Review had more than 300 schools' data to choose from, judging on a slew of topics including course offerings, total number of companies started by program graduates, university sponsored programs encouraging entrepreneurship and entrepreneur scholarships.
And the University of Tampa cracked the top 50 undergraduate entrepreneur programs for the first time. The school came in at No. 38 with University of Houston taking the top spot.
UT was among four Floridian universities on the list: Fort Myers-based Florida Gulf Coast University was No. 30, Florida State University was No. 31, and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton was No. 39.
