Bridge, the software company with a specialty in the alcohol beverage industry, has raised more than $900,000 from Florida Funders.
The company, which was rebranded from Proof Network Ventures in October, secured $917,000, according to a release. The Florida Funders Impact Fund invested $500,000, while the Florida Funders' accredited investor network provided the remainder.
Bridge is an application that connects providers directly with customers, versus the traditional model of the provider having to connect with a distributor. The app integrates the providers' point of sales system, which allows data collection on all the sales through the retailers.
"We like the space they're in, we like the traction," Tom Wallace, managing partner for Florida Funders, said in an interview with Tampa Bay Inno. "It seems like an industry that's ripe for disruption. We’re excited about what they’re looking to do."
The company was founded in October 2018 and works with MillerCoors, Pernod Ricard and Moet Hennessy. Despite its infancy, Bridge already acquired Tipsi, a private-label retail e-commerce company in 2018 and in March 2019, acquired similar private-label company Drync.
Florida Funders invested $1 million in valet laundry service 2ULaundry in August; $4 million in trash valet service Trash Butler in March; a joint $1 million investment in medtech company UC-Care in March; and a $15 million investment in home repair app Homee in August.
