The Tampa Bay Wave fall accelerator cohort is back, with nine of the most promising startups in the Tampa Bay ecosystem readying to learn and grow even further.

"This cohort may be our most diverse in terms of the wide range of problems they are solving,” accelerator director Rich Heruska, said in a statement. “From a company re-engineering the modern bra to a Fintech company that recently launched a successful pilot at a national hotel chain, to a 3D Printed Case-t company, this cohort brings a group of visionary founders with a common purpose of transforming their industries.”

The startups are also owned by a mix of veterans, women and Latinix founders.

The nine companies include:

• Tampa-based digital health company E-Cover Global.

• Monticello-based medical device company Exiom, which placed in the top 100 for the Startup of the Year awards in Memphis.

• Tampa-based Fruutfull, which is reinventing the back band on bras. The company recently was crowned the Florida winner of SoGal's pitch competition, and was also in the final five of the Startup of the Year awards.

• Tampa-based healthTech and logistics company MedZoomer

• Fort Myers-based marketing tech company Nickelytics

• Tampa-based fintech firm OmPay, which has also been in the Arizona State Fintech Sandbox Program and NYU Stern Venture Fellowship

• Tampa-based consumer tech company RentIt

• Tampa-based, marketing tech firm Reptrics

• Saint Petersburg-based fintech firm SoleVentures, which raised $900,000 in August

The companies will take part in a 90 day program, which will receive mentoring, pitch coaching and introductions to investment opportunities. As usual, the program will culminate in a Demo Day where each founder will pitch to a room of potential investors. This year, Demo Day will be at Synapse Summit in February.

Previous cohort companies include Guestbox, Little Global Citizens and JustProtect.
