• Spectrio, a Tampa-based provider of in-store marketing solutions, is merging with VS Networks, a Chicago-based digital company. According to Spectrio’s spokesperson Megan Colby, the merger is more of an acquisition. VS Networks will eventually move under the Spectrio name and no employees in Tampa will be leaving.
She told Tampa Bay Inno it is too soon to tell if any C-level executives from VS Networks will be joining any Spectrio boards. With the acquisition, Spectrio now has roughly 310 employees.
• The month rounded out with FairWarning appointing Ed Holmes as its new CEO. Holmes took over for Patrick Marschall, who was serving as the interim CEO. Peoplenet was acquired by Boston-based Bullhorn Inc. in 2017, where Holmes then became the senior vice president of the workforce and revenue cloud department.
