Tampa Bay's tech industry is officially here to stay, and it's getting noticed. The Inc. 5000 list, which is a compilation of the 5,000 fastest growing private companies in the country, has released its latest list with a slew of Tampa Bay's top tech companies.
The major player? Software. Six Tampa Bay companies chosen were categorized in the software industry.
"There's no question the leader of the market and economy is SaaS," Jeff Vinik, serial startup investor and Tampa Bay Lightning owner, said at the Florida Venture Capital Conference in February. "You have to be careful because everyone calls themselves a SaaS company, but they're on fire. With cloud adoption — we’re at the sweet spot of the S-Curve with that."

• No. 163 on the Inc. 5000 overall list is Tampa-based ComplianceQuest, with a 2,357% growth and $2.5 million in revenue
• No. 1688 is Palm Harbor-based MAS Global Consulting, a two-time list maker with 242% growth and $7 million in revenue
• No. 1699 is Tampa-based Sourcetoad, a two-time list maker with 240% growth and $2.9 million in revenue
• No. 2027 is Clearwater-based Retail Cloud Technologies with 198% growth and $11.4 million in revenue
• No. 2573 is 12-time list maker AgileThought, based in Tampa. It had a 152% growth and $73.3 million in revenue
• No. 3342 is Tampa-based ViralStyle.com, which had 107% growth and $54.3 million in revenue
Telecommunications
• No. 882 is Clearwater-based Stratus Video, which is the seventh time the company has made the list. It had 483% growth and $56.4 million in revenue
• No. 1977 is Brandon-based TeleVoIPs, with 203% growth and $2.2 million in revenue in Brandon
• No. 4994 is St. Petersburg-based Gemini Power Systems, with 52% growth and $93 million in revenue
Business Products and Services
• No. 1338 is Tampa-based A-LIGN, a three-time list maker with 309% growth and $31.5 million in revenue
• No. 3117 is Tampa-based Day Translations, a two-time list maker with 118% growth and $3.3 million in revenue
Security
• No. 161 is Clearwater-based KnowBe4, which has made the Inc. 5000 list four times. This year, it has a staggering 2,370% in growth and $72.3 million in revenue
• No. 920 is Tampa-based Skynet Integrations, with 461% growth and $2 million in revenue
• No. 3803 is St. Petersburg-based Rapid Web Services, a five-time list maker with 88% growth and $14 million in revenue
IT Management
And rounding out the list is Source 1 Solutions, coming in at no. 1690. This is the second time the company has made the list, and is the only company from Tampa Bay listed in the IT Management category. The Clearwater-based company had 242% growth and $9.1 million in revenue.
