April showers brought May flowers, but the growth also extended to funding deals. From edtech apps to tech making laundry easier, we've got a roundup of all the startups getting some major cash from investors this past month.

• KnowBe4, the largest cybersecurity company in Tampa Bay, donated $500,000 to the University of South Florida Muma College of Business on May 14. The Clearwater-based company said it wanted to necessary cybersecurity skills for the upcoming workforce. It's also donated $1.25 million of in-kind services.

Washlava, a startup that aims to make laundry a bit easier, got some extra quarters for the machine. On May 16 the company, which is under the name Laundry 2.0 LLC, received $837,000 from an unknown investor. Washlava's total asking amount was $1.05 million, leaving some room for additional investment. The Tampa-based company creates an app that lets users reserve and pay for their laundry machines through cashless transactions.

AbleNook, which we previously wrote about being a stop on the Rise of the Rest tour, finished a $600,000 seed round this month. Multiple investors contributed, according to AbleNook CEO Sean Verdecia. He said he will be using the funds for further engineering, prototyping and overhead costs.

• On May 23, Script, the edtech company that provides paperwork automation for schools (and was on our EdTech State of Innovation panel) did it again. The company acquired an unknown amount of funding from Ark Applications, according to a press release. It was the third round of funding between Ark and Script, who most recently gave $900,00 on April 8.

• And on May 28, travel tech firm Solutionz Innovations received an investment from Vector Trust for an undisclosed amount, according to a press release.
