The Elite 8 in Tampa Bay Inno’s 2019 Tech Madness is set!
With over 2,000 total votes to date, the inaugural Tech Madness Bracket is right at the halfway point, with 16 of the initial 32 private, venture-backed tech companies still dancing.
In round two, SiteZeus, a maker of Location Intelligence for multi-unit brands, brought in the most votes. They'll be moving on to an Elite Eight matchup against Perch Security.
And among the other upsets and close calls...
- 3 seed Perch Security barely edged out 2 seed ReliaQuest by 1 vote
- Underdog 8 seed Atmos Homes narrowly won over 4 seed Telepathy Labs, by just 3 votes
- 6 seed Harvest Croo upset #2 seed KnowBe4, taking 53% of the votes
- 6 seed PikMyKid upset 2 seed Homee grabbing 54% of the votes
As a reminder, this is a friendly competition intended to put a spotlight on some of the region’s most interesting and promising startups. The startups in the bracket were nominated by the community, and readers vote to advance the winner by picking the companies they’d most want to invest in.
The answer to that question – who would you invest in? – can be based on whatever metrics you find important. It could be the ones you expect to have the best return — or maybe it’s those you’re most passionate about and want to see succeed.
However you view it, all we ask is that you vote and encourage your friends and co-workers to vote as well.
