Innovation is one of the main focuses at the upcoming Synapse Summit and even the Tampa Bay Wave Demo Day is going to get its own twist.
Past Demo Days have involved companies in the Wave's latest cohort inviting investors to a closed event, where the owner presents the idea to get possibly funded. A Demo Day at the Synapse Summit will be taking place, but this time the public is also invited.
Previously, companies presented at Pitch Night, which is an informal pitch to interested investors and the public. At Demo Day, investors and the interested public will have a chance to meet the seven companies in the Wave's cohort and make connections if they wish to be involved in funding.
The companies have a combined $14 million in revenue over the past 12 months and 96 employees.
Here are the seven companies:
- ComplyUp, which help simplify the process manufacturers have to go through to show regulatory compliance.
- Direct Mail 2.0, a marketing platform which is used to track clients' direct mail campaigns.
- Immertec, which uses a virtual reality platform to train doctors.
- iSOCRATES helps publishers, marketers, agencies and their suppliers with multiple facets of the business including programmatic strategy and operations consulting.
- MarTec360 helps companies cut down on the risks which come with using more than one affiliate marketing engine.
- ParkwayParking.com provides alternative, lower cost parking options for events, airports and cruise terminals in the Tampa area.
- Sanvis Health provides digital and mobile health solutions to the elderly and their providers while keeping costs low and increasing efficiency.
Demo Day will be held from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the Synapse Summit in Amalie Arena.
