Setting Tampa Ablaze: A Look Back at Tampa's First Inno on Fire

Last night, we brought the region's best innovators and entrepreneurs to a sold out crowd for our first ever Inno on Fire.

The premise is relatively simple: In October, Tampa Bay Inno put out an ask to the community to let us know who they think are "on fire" this year. Whether that be a major funding round, a huge partnership or a big expansion, we got a long list of potential honorees which was narrowed down to 52.

Then, the list was given to a panel of esteemed judges (Lakshmi Shenoy from Embarc Collective, Brian Kornfeld from Synapse Florida, Saxon Baum from Florida Funders and Ian Anderson from the Tampa Bay Business Journal) who chose a standout from each of the nine categories that they believed was truly a trailblazer in their field.

We gathered on Nov. 20 at Factory 114 with an energized crowd. We had a video showcasing a majority of the winners and announced our coveted blazer award.

Once again, congrats to all our winners and especially our Inno Blazers:

And thank you to our founding sponsors: University of Tampa, Embarc Collective, Synapse and Florida Funders, along with our event sponsors Johnson Pope, CDW, Omni Public, Factory114 and Buzz Pop Cocktails.
