A California startup accelerator and investment company has invested in a Tampa technology firm's seed round.

Expert Dojo invested in TouchBrick, a company specializing in Web3 services for decentralized networks, blockchain technology and smart contracts. Brian Mac Mahon, CEO of Expert Dojo, said the intention is to invest further based on milestones hit.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Expert Dojo to accelerate our business growth” stated Shayra Antia, CEO of TouchBrick, in a release. “This really validates our vision of enabling enterprises to seamlessly transition to the Web3 era.”

Antia told Tampa Bay Inno the seed round goal is $2 million. She's a University of South Florida graduate who started the company two years ago and is excited to start and keep her business in Tampa.

Mac Mahon said the partnership aligns with its vision to propel startups in emerging tech.

The investment partnership was facilitated by Scott Kelly and Black Dog Venture Partners in St. Petersburg.

“When I spoke to Brian two months ago, I told him the Tampa Bay region was the next great hub of innovation. I am excited to see Expert Dojo share my vision,” Kelly said in the release.

The partnership will give TouchBrick guidance and resources to establish a strong Web3 presence.
