Tampa Bay companies ended the spring fundraising season on a high note, raising more than $13 million in May.

We've gathered up the deals you might have missed below.

St. Pete telehealth pharmacy startup raises $1.9 million after Covid boom

RxLive, which provides access to pharmacists via its telehealth platform, closed the round late last year and recently filed the funding with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. St. Petersburg-based Seedfunders, an investment firm focused on early-stage companies, led the round. Get the full story.

Two Tampa companies kick off funding rounds on crowdfunding site

Tampa-based mobile advertising technology company Nickelytics closed $400,000 on crowdfunding site Republic, with plans to close a larger $1.5 million round in June. Oracle Health, which has a patent-pending cardiac monitoring system, has raised more than $1 million on Republic with plans to raise $4 million by July. Learn more.

Tampa startup PikMyKid gets seven-figure deal from Silicon Valley firm

While the total funding amount was undisclosed, it was given entirely by Silicon Valley-based Growth Street Partners. The company, which helps streamline the school dismissal process, has said it has raised more than $10 million since its inception in 2014. Get the full details.

Wellness travel startup closes $3.3M funding round led by Jeff Vinik

Vacayou, a Tampa-based startup specializing in wellness-focused travel, announced the deal with Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik in mid-May. Relevance Ventures, a Nashville-based venture firm, also participated in the round, along with other angel investors. Learn more.

Startup simplifying international hiring closes second funding round in six months

Panther, a Tampa-based startup that launched last June, has closed a $2.5 million seed round with participation from angel investors Elias Torres, a Tampa resident and co-founder of Drift, along with Eric Ries, the author of The Lean Startup, Naval Ravikant, co-founder and former CEO of AngelList, and more. The round also received institutional checks from Tribe Capital, Carta Ventures, Hart of Ventures, Accomplice Ventures and Garage CapitalGet the full story.

Medtech startup with Tampa ties secures $2.7M from former Google, Facebook execs

Rocket Doctor, which is a member of local innovation hub Embarc Collective and has one of its co-founders living in Tampa, closed a $2.7 million seed round announced at the end of the month. The company is a digital health platform company. The round was led by Silicon Valley-based f7 Ventures, which counts former Google and Facebook executives among its members, and Dr. Irv Edwards, founder and president of Emergent Medical Associates. Software company gets nearly $1 million

CoLabs, a holdings and software company, raised $954,334, according to SEC filings. There were five investors in the round. It follows a $2.5 million raise completed in July 2019.
