It’s an uncertain time for startups.
Venture funding has tumbled after years of record highs and the recent failure of Silicon Valley Bank left startups scrambling in its immediate aftermath. But it’s not all bad news, as shown by St. Louis Inno’s 2023 Startups to Watch. The nine companies named to this year’s list continue to expand and grow amid the turbulence in the economy.
That's worth celebrating. We'll recognize the nine companies on Tuesday, April 4, from 4-6 p.m. at the .Zack Theater., 3224 Locust St., St. Louis. In addition to recognizing our Startups to Watch, the program will also include a panel discussion featuring the CEOs from two companies on this year’s list: Mary Fernandes of Solis Agrosciences and Sarah Bernard of Inclusively.
It’s a conversation you won’t want to miss if you’re curious about what it takes to launch and grow a startup. Fernandes and Bernard will speak to how their respective companies have been able to grow, and raise financing, amid a slowing venture capital market. While the duo will speak to their companies' successes, Fernandes and Bernard will also detail how they’ve guided their companies through the inevitable challenges of operating a startup, including how the shutdown of Silicon Valley Bank impacted their startups.
Tuesday’s event offers a chance to meet nine of the most promising startups in St. Louis. We hope you’ll join us. You can purchase tickets here.
