A range of scientists, policymakers and celebrity speakers are set to appear at the Aspen Ideas: Climate conference in Miami Beach next week.
More than 200 innovators and thought leaders will gather March 11-13 to identify policies and solutions that can mitigate the affects of climate change. The annual event is organized by the Aspen Institute, a nonprofit headquartered in Washington, D.C.

One of the event's headline speakers is Bezos Earth Fund Vice Chair Lauren Sanchez, who will appear at a March 12 evening session. Sanchez, who is engaged to Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, was previously a longtime entertainment reporter and is the author of the children's book "The Fly Who Flew to Space."
Sanchez will discuss "the promise of possibility by unveiling solutions through innovation and invention," according to a news release. Created with a $10 billion grant, the Bezos Earth Fund was established to fight climate change and protect natural environments.

Other well known personalities on the agenda include:
- U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer M. Granholm, who will open the event March 11 in a conversation with NBC Today's weather anchor Al Roker.
- Television personality and science educator Bill Nye, who will speak with National Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy
- Deputy Secretary of Transportation Polly Trottenberg, Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb, and Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava will appear in a panel focused on rethinking the urban environment March 12.
- Washington Governor Jay Inslee will discuss climate action in a panel with Lisa Jackson, Apple's Vice President of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives
