EMerge Americas reveals 2024 conference keynote speaker

EMerge Americas unveiled its keynote speaker for its 2024 conference in Miami Beach.

Girls Who Code founder Reshma Saujani will headline the global technology event, taking place April 18-19 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Saujani is also founder and CEO of Moms First, an organization that champions women's economic equality in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

She launched the nonprofit Girls Who Code initiative more than a decade ago to encourage more young women to pursue careers in computer science and help close the gender gap in the technology industry.

Strangeworks founder and CEO William Hurley, Xprize Foundation founder Peter Diamandis and Grammy-award winning rapper and entrepreneur Armando "Pitbull" Perez are also among the confirmed speakers for the upcoming eMerge conference.

Launched in 2014, eMerge Americas connects technology entrepreneurs, investors, venture capital firms and more with the goal of transforming Miami into the tech hub of the Americas. Since its founding, the organization has developed from a small annual conference to a year-round technology platform and community builder. On top of its roster of events, eMerge now offers online trainings, market reports and startup pitch competitions throughout the year.

More than 20,000 people from around the world attended the 2023 conference, which was headlined by football star Tom Brady.

The Miami organization recently announced it will partner with Jackson Health System and the University of Miami Health System to debut a "Healthtech Innovation Hub" at the 2024 event. The experience will include interactive exhibits that highlight the intersection of technology and medicine, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and connecting providers with tech startups and investors.
