Here are the South Florida businesses that made the 2021 Inc. 5000 list

Nearly 150 South Florida companies made the cut for Inc. 5000's Fastest Growing Private Companies in America list.

Inc. Magazine releases an annual ranking of the top 5,000 fastest-growing private businesses in the U.S. This year, the list included 142 ventures based in the Miami metro area that collectively have $6.9 billion in revenue. Those businesses experienced median growth of 199% and added 10,857 jobs.

Boca Raton-based SpringBig was the fastest-growing local company on the list, coming in at No. 69 with 5,485% in growth. That's a considerable jump from 2020, when the cannabis industry marketing platform ranked No. 99. SpringBig, founded in 2012, was the only tri-county business in the Top 100 list.

Honorlock, an online proctoring platform for universities based in Boca Raton, followed at No. 103., a massive jump up from No. 236 in 2020. Quick'rCare, an emergency room and urgent care center reservation platform in Miami, rounded out the Top 3 at No. 241.

The Sunshine State was home to 369 companies on the list. Those companies generated $14.7 billion revenue, added 24,331 jobs and reported median growth of 199%
