Miami-based WunderGraph secured $3 million in a seed funding round led by Aspenwood Ventures.

The startup provides open-source coding framework to optimize frontend, fullstack, and backend developer workflows.

"We make it seamless for developers to integrate complex architectures with many microservices and databases, authentication, file storage, etc. and connect it to frontend frameworks," said co-founder and CEO Jens Neuse.

WunderGraph makes application programming interface (API), the way computer programs and pieces of software communicate with each other, easier for developers to code. That saves time for web developers and allows them to focus on other value-adding tasks.

The company reports its software is already used by brands like Tripadvisor, Oracle and the takeout app Mr. Yum.

The seed capital will fuel WunderGraph's hiring efforts and help the company grow its global user base, a representative told the Business Journal. It currently has 15 employees based in Miami and Europe.

WunderGraph is just one of a growing number of enterprise software businesses with a presence in South Florida. Those companies, which build software to help businesses manage tasks and workflows, were among the startups with the most local job postings over the last year.
