Seattle-based software startup Zuper has named Seth Nesbitt as chief marketing officer.

Zuper, which made the announcement Wednesday, is hiring Nesbitt after raising a $32 million Series B round in December. Nesbitt is joining Zuper after most recently working at Bellevue-based Icertis, a contract management company that hit a valuation of $5 billion in 2021.

"Seth's deep understanding of (business-to-business) software and long proven history of leading high-performance marketing teams at innovative companies will be invaluable to our growth plans," Anand Subbaraj, co-founder and CEO of Zuper, said in a news release.

In his new role, Nesbitt will help with internal processes, creative thinking and execution.

Nesbitt spent more than seven years at Icertis, according to his LinkedIn page, including more than four years as the company's chief marketing officer. Before that, he spent more than five years at Ecova, a cloud software company headquartered in Spokane, where he rose to the position of chief commercial officer. (The company since rebranded to Engie Insight.)

Zuper helps clients in areas like plumbing, roofing and pest control manage technicians working in the field. The company offers services in work order management, dispatching and field service scheduling. Zuper, which had about 170 employees as of December, now has more than 280 employees listed on LinkedIn.

Zuper, founded in 2020, is nominally based in Seattle, but at the time of its December fundraise, the company didn't have office space and was looking for space in Bellevue. A Zuper spokesperson said the company still doesn't have a Bellevue office.

In 2022, Zuper raised a $13 million Series A round. The company has an office in Chennai, India. Bellevue-based Fuse, which has invested in local companies like Carbon Robotics and Bttn, led Zuper's Series B.
