Bellevue-based automation company Nintex has promoted two employees to vice president roles.

On Wednesday, Nintex named Christian Lucarelli vice president and head of global partner strategy, while Tony Thomas was named vice president and head of global customer experience. The promotions come after Nintex in March of 2023 named former Avalara executive Amit Mathradas as CEO.

Nintex didn't immediately say whether these were new roles for the company or if either Thomas or Lucarelli were replacing someone.

Lucarelli has worked at Nintex for more than eight years, according to his LinkedIn page. He started with the company as a regional sales director. Before joining Nintex, he spent six years at the data management company AvePoint, his LinkedIn page notes.

"I am eager to leverage my experience and insights to further strengthen our global partner network," Lucarelli said in a news release.

Thomas, meanwhile, joined Nintex through the company's acquisition of the Chattanooga, Tennessee-based app company Skuid. The companies didn't disclose financial terms of the acquisition, which closed in January. Thomas spent more than eight years at Skuid and was the company's chief customer officer when it was acquired. According to his LinkedIn page, he also spent almost three years at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and almost 12 years at EMC.

Nintex was founded in 2006. The company automates repetitive, manual tasks in areas like employee onboarding, public records requests and invoice management. It counts Amazon, Chevron and Microsoft as clients.

In January, Nintex said it was looking for new space in Bellevue after its previous Bellevue space, in the U.S. Bank Plaza at 10800 NE Eighth St., was being marketed by commercial real estate firm CBRE. The company didn't immediately provide an update on the office move. Nintex had about 130 Bellevue-based employees and about 1,000 total employees as of January.

Nintex in 2021 announced plans to sell a majority stake in the company to private equity firm TPG Capital. Thoma Bravo, Nintex's previous majority investor, made an additional investment to maintain a significant minority stake in the company.
