Bellevue-based video game studio TinyBuild has sold its Totally Reliable Delivery Service game franchise to the iconic video game maker Atari.
The deal, announced Tuesday, comes after Atari invested $2 million in TinyBuild in January, acquiring a 7.9% stake in the company. The acquisition is the first Atari is making for its Infogrames publishing label, which Atari on Tuesday announced it was reviving.
“With Totally Reliable Delivery Service, Infogrames is starting off with a strong IP that has a loyal and enthusiastic player base,” Geoffroy Châteauvieux, manager of Infogrames, said in a news release.
The companies didn't disclose the financial terms of the deal.
Atari didn't immediately respond to questions on how many employees, if any, would be joining Atari from TinyBuild as part of the acquisition.
