Seattle-based information technology company Syncro has named Michael George as its new CEO.

George, who had led multiple companies, is taking over for Emily Glass, who was CEO for more than two years but posted on LinkedIn earlier this month that she was stepping down. Syncro announced George's hiring on Tuesday.

Syncro was founded in 2017. The company works with "managed service providers," or companies that provide IT services. Syncro says its tools help with invoicing, automation, reporting and remote monitoring, and integrate with more than 50 third-party tools.

Syncro says on its LinkedIn page the company works fully remotely. The address for its headquarters is a mailbox at 113 Cherry St. in Seattle's Pioneer Square.

Before joining Syncro, George led five other companies over the course of his career, with focuses such as business software, IT services and cybersecurity, his LinkedIn page shows. Most recently he was CEO of cybersecurity company Invicti Security, a role he held for about two years. He spent about eight years as CEO of the IT company Continuum before Invicti.

ConnectWise acquired Continuum in 2019, after which George left the company. George's LinkedIn page notes he is based in Boston. According to Syncro, Continuum grew from 43 employees to more than 1,400 under George's leadership. Syncro has 95 employees listed on LinkedIn.

Before taking over as CEO of Syncro in October 2021, Glass was chief operating officer at the gifting platform Alyce for about a year. In her LinkedIn post, she said she planned to take some time before her next chapter.

"My heartfelt thanks to the Syncro team of wonderfully talented, diverse, passionate and caring people," Glass said in the post. "I learned so much about how to inspire and lead remotely; you modeled best practices and enabled me to show up at my best."
